For many South students, mornings don’t officially start until that first sip of coffee or that one special energy drink.
Now, those caffeine runs just got a whole lot easier as 7 Brew is opening a new location on 15444-A Manchester Road in front of the Missouri Pickleball Club, much closer than the other nearest location in Kirkwood.
Although the school is close to many Starbucks and Dunkin’ restaurants, 7 Brew is something a little more special, and many students are thrilled about the new location. For people who don’t know about 7 Brew, it’s different from Starbucks or Dunkin’ because it offers energy drinks in addition to coffee, and you can customize the flavors–they have every flavor from cupcake to blue raspberry.
“I was very excited when I heard about this new 7 Brew location because the drive out to Kirkwood is not very easy or convenient,” senior Leia Yogi said.
Whether students need a mid-day pick-me-up or a way to get them out of bed in the morning, many students spend their time and money getting some type of drink.
“I get a drink probably 2-3 times a week–a lot of times before school and then sometimes on my lunch break,” senior Ryan George said.
When it comes to 7 Brew, their deals and rewards seem to rally many customers. Every 7th day of each month they have a deal which could be a BOGO (Buy one get one free) or a small 7 Brew bag. They also have a rewards program, so every time that you go you get points based on how much money you spend, and when you get a certain amount of points you get a free drink.
“My favorite part about 7 Brew is the BOGOs because you get little gifts with your drink, like a duck or a volleyball, and also two drinks for the price of one,” junior Elise Marx said.
While this new opening is very popular, it will definitely create some obstacles for new customers or local buyers.
“I feel like it’s kind of in an awkward spot. It’s not close, but it’s not far; however, it’s much closer than the Kirkwood location,” George said.
The new location might make it harder for customers to make that quick coffee run ‘quick’.
“I’ll start going maybe in like a month, I feel like I have to wait for the line to die down and then I’ll start going more,” George said
As the opening date approaches, students are already planning their first orders and coffee runs. One thing’s for sure — South mornings just got a little more energized.
“I have a bunch of TikToks saved from all these fun drinks and now I can’t wait to try them,” Marx said.
