A new wave of fitness is about to hit our community in the form of a brand new gym, Crunch Fitness.
With the large number of South athletes and students who love to work out, you can already imagine the excitement surrounding this new gym.
Crunch has done a ton of local advertising, reaching out to many different students and other members of the community.
“I’ve been seeing signs all over Manchester, and I stopped to read one next to my local Jimmy John’s because I was curious,” says junior Logan Wactor
Although other gyms, such as Planet Fitness, have been upgrading some of their locations to try and keep up with these new gyms, many people feel as though they won’t be able to do enough.
“I switched over to Crunch because of all the new stuff they offer. They have saunas, indoor turf fields, free weight benches, and just so much more for the same price as Planet Fitness,” sophomore Daniel Chavez said.
Others, however, aren’t as eager to join the new gym. Junior Charlotte Stimetz talks about why she’s not so quick to join.
“I thought it seemed great until I realized they didn’t have a girls-only room like my current gym does,” said Stimetz.
Crunch Fitness is opening up on May 21 at 151 Highlands Blvd Dr, Manchester, MO 63011. They built it in place of the old Best Buy and have been renovating it for a while now. It offers three different plans depending on your needs, starting at $9.99 a month.
‘The gym just looks a lot cleaner and more professional than the current gym I go to. I’m glad my sister told me about it, and I saw it all over Instagram because it seems like just a better gym overall compared to Planet Fitness,” said sophomore Danya Vaccaro.
