Jeanette Sipp-White
Jeanette Sipp-White, a Spanish teacher, provides some insight into her future following her retirement.
“I look forward to being more available for my son. I hate missing events at his school. I look forward to being able to be more involved in the care of my dad who is quite a bit older. I am not sure exactly where life will take me after here, but I want to make my family my number 1 priority”
Sipp-White is excited and ready to take on new challenges.
“I am excited to see where life will take me. I am excited to use my talents in new ways. There are a lot of other roads I would like to explore and a lot of ways I would like to make a difference in the community.”
Although there are many exciting new things to experience, Sipp-White can’t leave the memories behind.
“I have been involved in bringing cultural appreciation to South High in a number of different facets– involvement with cultural photo projects that we still see in the halls. I have really enjoyed being able to listen to students talk about their cultures, no matter what they are.”
As the year comes to a close, Sipp-White Reflections on how she has grown.
“I am a really resilient person who looks for the sunniest part of any situation… I could see this about myself during covid and all of the changes that have happened throughout my teaching career. I learned that resilience is so important to me personally and in life.”
