Kim Harting

Kim Harting, South’s lone technology specialist, shares some of the things that she will miss when she leaves

“I will miss being a part of a group of people that seem to truly like each other and want to come together for the students. As I tell my fellow technology specialist at other schools, SHS has the best staff and students to work with.”

Harting shares some of her plans for the future. 

“I plan on hanging out with my 6 maybe more grandkids. Going on a lot of camping trips with my husband, and visiting as many states as possible. I would also like to volunteer at a nursing home and help the residents with any technology they may need help with.”

With the end of the year approaching Harting expresses some of the emotions that come with retiring and also what she has learned about herself. 

“I am excited to spend time with my family and have time and energy to do things I don’t always have time or energy for now. But I will miss seeing all the staff and the student’s here at South. I have learned that I am good at working with my hand and enjoy doing so.”
