In A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder, a high school senior looks over a murder case from five years ago that continues to haunt her town. Although it is a closed case, she finds the whole story to be particularly fishy. As a result, she attempts to uncover burning questions and theories by interviewing those who were closest to the victims. What she finds in the end comes to shock the residents of Fairview and changes her future for either the better or worse.

I think this book deserves every single piece of praise it receives. It is the first book of a trilogy, and remains one of my all-time favorites. The twists and turns of this mystery/thriller will keep you up at night trying to help the infamous Pippa Fitz-Amobi solve the murder case. The structure of the book is also very unique and helpful to the reader, and includes numerous maps, charts, notes, etc. It all really pays off once you get to the third book, as the storyline deepens and the characters develop. The series itself also tackles issues and flaws regarding the justice system that can be applied to real-life circumstances. Holly Jackson is an excellent author, and I definitely recommend being on the lookout for her upcoming novel, Five Survive, which is expected to be released on November 29, 2022.
