At the fall 2019 event, Apple announced that the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max was released on Sept. 20. Every new iPhone comes out in September, every year. A few years ago, there were drastic changes at first. Starting with the iPhone 5 to the iPhone 6 with the much larger screen, then Touch ID and better cameras. When the iPhone X came out two years ago, the game changed. It came with a full screen and dual cameras but priced at a whopping price of $1000. Then the iPhone Xs and Xs Max came out, and it wasn’t that much of a change. Now, the iPhone 11 which has two separate cameras, and iPhone 11 Pro, has three. At first, I thought it was a little overrated, but the technology it has is actually really cool.

The iPhone 11 is the “budget” iPhone, at $699 with 64GB. Apple says, “ All‑new dual‑camera system. Take your photos from wide to ultra-wide. A redesigned interface uses the new Ultra-Wide camera to show you what’s happening outside the frame — and lets you capture it. Shoot and edit videos as easily as you do photos. It’s the world’s most popular camera, now with a whole new perspective.” It’s also waterproof, iPhone 11 is water-resistant up to 2 meters for up to 30 minutes, double the depth of the iPhone XR.

The iPhone 11 Pro is priced at $999. One of the biggest differences between the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro is the display. The iPhone 11 features an LCD “Liquid Retina” panel with a 1792×828 resolution. That comes out to for 326 pixels-per-inch. This is notably lower than the resolutions of 458 pixels-per-inch found on the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, but it’s still a fantastic screen overall. The iPhone 11 Pro also has the first triple camera system ever. Apple says there’s something special about the chip in the new iPhone: “We custom‑built A13 Bionic with a focus on machine learning across the entire chip — enabling experiences that simply aren’t found on any other smartphone. In fact, it’s so fast, so powerful, and so intelligent, it’s years ahead of any other chip. Which gives you an unfair advantage.”

The new iPhone also comes in new colors. The iPhone 11 comes in six colors including Product (Red), black, white, yellow, green and purple. In case you don’t know, Product(Red) is a charitable organization that contributes to the fight against Aids and HIV. By buying a red phone, you’re helping the cause. The iPhone 11 Pro also comes in one new color, Midnight Green.

Overall, I think the new iPhone is so advanced and actually a lot different from the iPhone XS than I thought it was. With the three-camera system it’s definitely and for how waterproof it is, it really impressed me. I’d say the new iPhone is definitely something new, not old.
