Sophomore Class VP Waleed Sukhera

1. Why did you decide to run for office?

Carter and I had the idea for running when we became freshmen because both our siblings were in student government and we wanted to make a change in the school

      2. How did you feel when you found out that you won?

I was happy. I wasn’t at school that day and Dr. Wilhelm personally called me to tell me.

      3. What was the best part about campaigning?

Making our website to show everyone our goals and what we do if we won and asking people who they would vote for and they said us

      4. What are you planning to do in student government next year?

We’re thinking about a car washer fundraiser for charity. We are also planning a canvas competition between ac labs, where each ac lab makes a different canvas and everyone votes for their favorite

      5. How are you going to make South a better place?

I’m gonna try to make sure everyone feels included and to increase participation in certain activities
