What position/positions did you have on staff?

 I have been a news/features writer from sophomore to junior year. Senior year I became editor of news/features.

What was your first story you ever published in the treaty? The last?

The first story I published was calendar chaos. The last is one I’m currently working on about how more people should join the Treaty. 

What was your favorite thing about being on staff the last four years?

My favorite thing was the fellow staff and people I spent my time with. Reading other people’s stories, getting feedback, and helping each other really built a community. 

Out of all your stories that were published in the newspaper, which one was your favorite?

My favorite story had to be about the retiring faculty. Interviewing teachers and staff members leaving the school was a nice way to end the year. Listening to peoples’ experience at Parkway South High was a nice way to end the year. 

What are you going to miss most about being on staff?

What I’m going to miss most is going around the school and interviewing people. Interviewing students and teachers was like seeing the school in a different light at times.

Do you plan on studying journalism in the future?

I’m not going to be majoring in journalism, however, I would love to still do it as a hobby or extracurricular.

Any words of advice for future staff?

My advice would be to communicate with fellow staff members and Mr. Brady. Discussing thoughts with one another and just socializing is a great way to generate stories and ideas.
