After viewing these mexican restaurants in the Manchester area, I have come to the conclusion, El Toluco is a good place to go if you want to get good authentic Mexican food.

Most places that you think are mexican food are actually called “Tex Mex”, which is a mix of American and Mexican cuisine but this place is the real deal. The Owners are from Toluca, Mexico and always wanted to open a restaurant. Their store and taqueria is located off Manchester Road around the corner from Gamestop and Cartridge World. They have an extensive menu full of many different foods. That have a wide variety of tacos that is not limited to Beef Tongue, chicken, steak and much more. They have decent prices as well as the tacos range from a price of $2.49 to $3.29.

The prices are much better than places like El Nopal and El Maguey where they charge so much for their fajitas and tacos that aren’t even on the same level as El Toluco’s. If you liked the now-closed Senor Pique and you miss that place a lot, I would recommend that you go to to El Toluco for delicious, authentic Mexican tacos as well as a Hispanic grocery store for all of your spicy needs!

Although if you’re planning on going there to try it out know that their hours are different from many restaurants. On weekdays the restaurant part is open until 3 p.m. and the grocery store is open until 8pm On the weekends, but they aren’t open on Sundays. So if you plan on making a trip to El Toluco, plan on going for lunch during the week or not too late on the weekends.

I would recommend the Al Pastor Pork and the Beef Tongue Taco. the Al Pastor Pork was very good. The pork was very tasteful and they also have their secret sauce that they put on it which adds a Lot of flavor. If you want to be a little adventurous, you should get the beef tongue taco. It’s more fatty kind of like a pot roast so if you like that kind of thing then definitely try it.
